Yes its in preparation for the Telme modules

Update KOSMIK 160 (Version 4.4)

Update KOSMIK 200 (Version 4.4)

With version 4.4 the alarm activated by the TelME modules are the following:

battery voltage: 10% more than KOSMIK slow down limit

used capacity: 10% before reaching KOSMIK capacity limit

RPM: no alarm

motor current: 125% of allowed current

temperature power unit: 90% of allowed max. temperature

temperature BEC: 90% of allowed max. temperature

BEC Strom Default: 125% des zulässigen Dauerstroms

PWM %: Inaktiv/nicht benötigt

In future these parameters will be programmable by K-Prog App.

Its an update to change perameters associated with the telme module not additional telemetry.

I have a kosmik 160, and I am finally getting that helicopter ready to maiden,

The kosmik is running version 3.1 of the firmware ( I just pulled a log and checked)

Can I go straight from 3.1 to 4.4?

Besides updating the progdisc to latest version before doing the update, , is there anything else I need to know?

Any "gotchas"

I followed the guide in sticky. Went from 4.3 to 4.4. Only thing that was scary was windows reported program not responding during update with no progress indicator. The prog disc flashed green and red and it did work out though.

Is recommended reset to mode 1 and them upgrade the firmware. If your is the very first generation will require a hardware upgrade by Kontronik in order to be upgradable by my understanding.

Yes I already looked inTo that issue. First generation is not supposed to be 3.1. I pulled a log, I am on 3.1

Other threads indicate that serial numbers lower than mine have been able to successfully update, as low as somewhere around #300. Mine is #439.

Thanks will do a mode 1 reset before the upgrade

Freaky

Did the upgrade ok, never got the not responding message, and never got a progress indicator. One the lights on the progdisc stopped flashing, I disconnected the battery and the USB cable and reconnected and got a invalid update error on the progdisc.

Did a reset using the progdisc and now everything is good

Why is this upgrade process so flakey? What's wrong with kontroniks software and firmware developers... This has to be causing them support emails and calls that they could totally avoid if the process was not so unnerving

Anyway, my jlog2.5 is getting data now, and the ESC allowed me to to mode programming and set the BEC voltage, and it arms, so I guess all is ok
