Default What Are Your Husband's Most Extreme Heli Moments?

I hate the fact that whenever I am mad the only way i can make my husband "see the light" is to threaten to anihilate his fleet. It"s pathetic I know but seems to work instantly. He doesn"t care if I leave but his precious rc heli or plane? Never.

I know my hubby definitely LOVES his helis! The other week we were expecting severe weather and he actually thought to go around the house & take pictures of his helis in case a tornado came. I couldn't believe it, good idea of course, but you can tell where his head is. (^_^)

that sounds just like my husband! I found out he hides them in the attic when he is gone to work. He works offshore. I wonder what other extremes heli husbands go to protecting their fleet?

Dang! Is he afraid you'll try to fly them or throw them away? lol (~_^) He better be sweet to you while he is away, now that you know where his hiding spot is. he he

Heck yeah, those helis are serious financial investment for us, so I guess I'd be right there with him trying to get the Heli's to high ground! lol But I hear epoweredrcgirl09! I think I've thought that a time or two myself. (^_^)

Had fun reading these posts . My BF doesn't even have his yet and I've already told him once I won't give him the heli I bought him for Christmas anymore, as soon as I say that he changes from defiant to "what did you need me to do again honey?" :p. Reading this posts makes me wonder what his crazy heli moment will be after!

I am single, so lol I have probably horrible advice. All I can say is in a super bad flood or tornado, I love my helis (I do but I want to stay alive also) If I knew I could save them with no danger, then of course I would, but if not well good thing I have renters insurance. I would so cry though, which would probably cause another flood. Whos knows, maybe some day when I find that guy, he will just leave me alone with my flying helicopters. If not well I have no idea what I would do. See told you I would have horrible advice. sheesh.

I can`t even get my husband to touch a helicopter. He says they`re too difficult to fly and he has no interest in them. He does support me in my flying though, by going to events with me and filming my flights.

I am a very fortunate man. I fly helis and planes, and my whole family flies stuff with me. (My wife was out of reach... but my youngest daughter got her to fly Quads with her...)

So now we went to Joe Nall together. HE HE HE...

Crazy heli moment... I have a literally free Trex 450 clone that I sold parts from as I changed it to FBL (which paid for the copter completely), and I flew that thing for 2 years with not even a scratch on it ever. One crash, and a good repair later and I can't seem to get ANY heli but micros off the ground without a crash.

It feels like the heli voodoo curse. Since that crash number 1, I have flown no more than 30 seconds at a time on my 250, son's 250, my 450, son's 450...

My 450 - Take off, feels dialed in.... Pops a cell and drops like a rock. ^%^&*%^%(!!!
Son's 450 - Spool up, all is well, starts to lift and tips over. ??? HUH??? Its fbl so that shouldn't happen... Bent feathering shaft... Guess what is the only freaking part I DON'T have for a 450.... Feathering shaft.
My 250 - New copterX 250 on the maiden. Minor blade strike, all seemed well. Feathering shaft split. (Blades went out both sides.)
Son's 250 - Replaced the head from his crash at SEFF, test fly again... Lets just say back to the drawing board.

Prior to all of this which occurred in two days.... I had not crashed a heli in 2+ years.

Also prior to this, I was thinking about a Goblin... No more.
