Default lube on Faifa main gear?

Has anyone tried Dryfluids gear lube or that wax lube stuff they use for bicycle chains on the Faifa main gear?

I just put a new pinion on mine and noticed a little white gear dust, not a lot but obviously the pinion is digging in a bit. The mesh is not too tight, there's just a little backlash all the way around.

Should I sand the edges of the pinion teeth a little bit?

How many flights has it had? Mine had the white powder for the first 10 to 15 flights before it settled down. I tried some wax type lube for a short while but it just made a mess. About 100 flights on the airframe and no discernible wear or heat issues.

I got this airframe 2nd hand so the main gear is not new but the pinion is brand new (11 tooth). Previously there was a 12 tooth pinion. It is spotlessly clean and has never had any kind of oil or anything on it.

The little bit of dust could just be the slight difference in the angle of the teeth. I'll check it for any sharp edges as I need to go through this heli anyway to track down a different weird issue.

I think gentle rounding off the edges of the pinion reasonable, reduces main gear noise somewhat too. Never used lube on the Faifa gear.

I bought the omega grease from kasama UK, it works well at cutting noise and making the gears move smooth. It is thick though, and attracts debris. I also have dryfluid Heli and dryfluid gear, they don't seem to quiet anything down but they definitely make the whole system smoother.

I just got some of the Dryfluids extreme gear lube so I'm trying that. I'm not as concerned with it quietening the gears really just reducing wear as much as possible and running as smooth as possible.
