Default Is mastering the elevator the most difficult

I've been practicing regularly on the sim, I find that my aleron control both upright and inverted is pretty regularly good. While sometimes I get mixed up on elevator control. Is this pretty common? I also find that cyclic control is pretty steady.

But finding out which way its going to go seems to take the most effort from me, concerning the elevator control.

Just wondering if other people find this to be true for themselves.

This reads a little confused on terms as elevator is part of cyclic (or did you mean collective instead of cyclic).

it is common to confuse elevator when inverted (as aileron controls are the same upright and inverted). Think of elevator as tilt towards and away from nose (or tail). ie. forward elevator, disc tilts towards nose, back elevator, disc tilts away from nose.

Rudder control inverted is one of the most tricky (it's just the opposite)

Only really consistent practice makes this automatic.

Thanks I meant collective, the idea of tilting is the way I need to think about it. It just seems to get confused in my brain. The other controls are coming along nicely though. And every day I practice slow pirouettes. Thanks for putting the course together it really is helping me.

One trick you could try on the sim (not optimal for real flying ) is these steps:
First repeat to yourself, out loud if that helps "collective up, disk away from heli. Collective down disk towards heli" a few times then
Go a bit high into a hover and pump that collective, not manically but nice and orderly and just observe how the disk leads on high stick and how the fuselage leads on low stick.
Then go knife edge and repeat. Same thing will happen, disk leads on high stick, fuse leads on low stick. Observe and repeat out loud to yourself high stick disk leads, low stick fuse leads.
Then inverted. Exact same thing will happen, disk leads at high stick, fuse leads at low stick.
Don't worry about crashing as long as you observe what happens, how the disk and fuse take turn in leading at high and low collective stick.

That's a good idea, I've never looked at it like that!

I think pirouetting globe with a reversal would be pretty hard to master
