Logo 14, whats the tr blade of your choice?

Well on both of mine I am running SAB 80mm cf tr blades, they seem to work well, however I do feel my tail authority is lacking abit. Now... before just going out on a purchase for something different, I thought to see what others may be using. I should also state that I do in fact have the upgraded hub with thrust bearings as well, I am running the GY611 and 9256 combo. I have read of some people running 95mm V-Blades for tr which..... man that seems to big a big tr blade for the 14??, I do not mean in regards to hitting the mains as I am not worried about that but, rather working the tail too hard..

Thoughts and what are you using on yours and your thoughts on this...? :dance

I was never really satisfied with the tail of the logo. It was sluggish and waggy. Now I upgraded the long boom, thrust bearings (wich you already have), stronger tail supports (5mm and longer) and 90mm MAH tailblades. Limit on the 611 is set to 140 and 145% w/o binding, gain is at 35% and now it's where I want it. Rock solid like on a .90 machine. Give it a try

Thanks for response. The stronger boom supports you speak of did you make these yourself or where they something you purchased from a vendor?

Homemade out of 5mm CF 5/3mm, m3 threaded rods and m3 ball links. The CF pipes are 500mm long. Plus the ball links they are fairly long and support the boom very good, like on MA machines. I don't use the CF horizontal fin, maybe it won't fit anymore...

Ok thanks Dani, I will have to try that sometime, I have always thought the stock cf rods they provide in the kits are weak, almost non existent to be honest. :glasses:

The logo 14 in the last picture in my gallery has bigger supports on it. I used raptor upgrade cnc ends, and bought the rods. Its the one with the red kontronic esc on the front.

When I crashed a while back I had no damage to the rear of the heli, but took out the blades spindle, main, etc.

Now that the trex 600 is out, I will probably get another set of the cnc ends for my logo 10. I bet they are very inexpensive compared to most others...

That looks strong indeed gordo, that must be a revolution boom support kit?

I can't remember where I got the ends, but I had to bend the two that connect to the boom. I used a vice and carefully bent them at about 30 deg. or so and got no cracks. The rods are just regular carbon tubing. It really makes a rigid setup, specially compared to the little ones you get with the logo kit.

Now that I have built the trex 600,(and seen firsthand), I will order their supports for my other logo. Their not quite as beefy but I'm sure they will add more support than the stock ones.

Now If I just had my logo cnc buttons I'd be happy...

Alu, when you are running 90 mm tail blades, how far out on the servo horn do you have your tail pushrod?
