Default Clutch of TZ-Frenzy 50 engages too early

Hello,
I have started to build the TZ-Frenzy V2. After the first engine run (Redline TT53) without blades I have noticed that the clutch really engages very early. It seems almost impossible to keep the engine run reliable with low rpm to avoid head movement. I had a similar problem with my old Raptor until I bought a clutch from Quick UK.

Do you have an idea how to overcome the problem with the original parts?

Best Regards from Mainz, Germany,
Roland

could be the clutch alignment, may be contacting more on one side but my best guess is that without the main blades there is very little drag or loading on the head causing the clutch to spool up the head.

when running in a new engine there needs to be a loading on it otherwise it will over rev, when we run in new plank motors we over pro to increase loads to engine.

Also, until the head has been spooled up with load a few times the clutch wont have bedded in to the bell.

if you are running in a new motor try fitting the main blades and setting the pitch curve to say -1/2 degs flat so the heli wont lift and there will be some pitch drag on the blades?

I ran into this also, couple things come into play, first make sure your clutch is flush with the bottom of the bell, if its recessed in too much it will contact the top of the bell, I removed my engines thrust washer so the fan and clutch would sit a little lower. I can see just a touch of my clutch sticking out of the bell.
Second I mounted the engine tight to the mount but left it a little loose in the frame along with the clutch assembly, I then spooled it a little with the starter wand to help get everything aligned then tighten it down. Sometimes if the clutch isnt aligned with the motor the clutch will rub on the bell because its a little canted.
Third the clutch bell lining is new and it needs to wear in a little. After about a gallon mine did.
