Yes - I did read about it in a German forum. Very sad indeed. It happened a bit north of Berlin, Germany. Its a US American hobby pilot who did fly as a guest pilot at that club on a regular basis.
He got hit on the head by the blades of a Logo 600SE caused by bad circumstances and they classify it as a tragic accident without any 3rd party involvement as stated in the article.
Its so sad since actually we did see 2 deadly incidents last year and only little over 5 month into the new year we see another bad incident happen again.

This really is something I wished I would never hear of again. Thoughts are with his family. Too sad.

Off topic but there were 4 fatalities last year, iirc.

Be safe, guys.

Oh man, I hate seeing this, scares me.

Was this another case of 3D flying, close-in, or was it actually an accident?

My first 600 is ready to fly, except for gyro and tail servo (finances).

I keep looking at it sitting there and thinking "my god - that thing is big".
Stories like this scare me.

It is big. But so is a 50 caliber gun. Proper respect and safe practices are your best friend. Distance helps too.
