Default slip ring ideas?

I'm starting to run out of flying time during the day, and so i am starting to look at night flying solutions.

i'd like to install some led's on a blade mcpx, ideally both on the body and at least the main rotor.

because of the small size/light weight, i don't believe blade-mounted batteries would work, so i am considering making some sort of slip ring that would mount on the main shaft, and then just use the main battery to power up the led's.

the issue is the squashplate. i can't figure out how to get wires to go around it..

the reason i'd like to go this route instead of batteries on the blades is because i would eventually also apply the same technique to my blade 400. but i tend to crash both heli's a lot(still learning!) so i would like to minimize the 'parts splatter' when it does crash-- both in cost and time it takes to recover everything..

any ideas?

The main shaft is hollow, so you could place some wires in the middle

I saw a guy around here who was lighting micro heli blades (I think it was a mCP-x) with small coin-cell batteries.

Sorry for all the posts, I couldn't figure out how to put them on one page. But this is the one with the wires running up through the main shaft.
