The best servos I've ever flown are from ProModeler, and they are very affordable. Audacitymodels.com

These are standard-size servos, I dunno what the 550x uses...

I can recommend a Turnigy 1266HV. It is strong, fast, very good in FBL and not so expensive. I have a pack of these in my Agile 5.5 for about 170 flights...

Hi guys
Sorry for dropping in but I have destroyed 2 servos now trying to get a 5 blade 450 3D off the groung can you give me any advice for the 450 in the turnigy range , would love some help or advice. The 5 blade setup is a pain, I think I should have just gone FBL with the 2 blades , thanks again for any info

I can reccomend Turnigy 306G, normal ones or HV, does not matter.
Strong, fast, indestructible. I made 200 flights with them. Only once I broke the gear during very hard crash.

The TGY306HV is basically a knockoff of the KST215MG, which you can get through Amazon from Garrt RC for a little less and free shipping. I bought a set of 3 of them and got them in a little over a week. They come via epacket from China, but arrive much faster than what you would expect. Mine have performed flawlessly for many flights so far. I haven't crashed since installing them, so I can't comment on their durability in terms of that. But, they're fast, precise, and have all the torque you could need for a 450.

They also have US stock for $11 more if you need them faster.

And, they carry a full 450 FBL kit with belt tail that I'm tempted to grab for $239. It comes with four KST215MG servos and a vbar clone that we're not supposed to say in polite company...shhhh! It apparently lacks a receiver though. And not much in the way of specs on the motor...but half the price of a 450X and much better servos. The included 40A YPG ESC looks like another clone of the YGE like the HK's YEP.
