would an hs-55(hitech) works on the swash and a ds410 on the tail?
going cheap and using what's at hand.
don't want to make a big leap on this heli hobby thing.

Well, the HS-55 is less than 1/2 as strong as a HS-82MG, which is more along the lines of what you want in this heli. It's also 30% slower, although that isn't nearly as much an issue as the torque specs.

The DS410 isn't really a "tail servo". It doesn't have the best reputation on the swashplate of a 450 sized heli. The DS420 would be more suited for the tail due to it being faster than the 410. But a DS520 would be a better choice for the tail, IMO.

What do you have on hand? If I had to do it over again I would have gone ARF with 3 hs82mg

The stock servos stripped FAST the stock gyro works best without the fuselage and the stock ESC only goes to 3s on the battery but the motor can go 4s. If you stay in the hobby you will want 4s

Hey ATC...since your post is nearly a couple of months old, I wanted to ask if you're still of the same opinion regarding the hs-82mg's. After fiddling with some adjustments on my RR, I'm now ready for some serious flying. As somewhat of a noob, what this means is that I'll probably be seriously ready for some new servos soon, and I want to have them on hand when the need arises. Three hs-82mg's?

Well, I finally trashed one of the original servos yesterday...can't believe they lasted this long!

wow congrats those lasted a while. the 82mg's should last you forever
