Default 10CG Battery

Hello,

I am considering to acquire an FF10 (T10CG), however I noticed the included battery is quite poor (600mAh, NiCAD).

Is there any better Lithium battery available out there that could fit as replacement?

Thanks for your advice.

FD.

Default Battery

I have a Futaba 10 CG 2.4Ghz and the battery lasts for ages. No need to up-grade as the power consumption with 2.4 is much less than before.

my old 10C has a 600mA batt too and it lasts no less than 3-4h
I always chagre the batt with 100mA and never had a problem.
however I were looking prices and batts for the radio,
Li-Ion from Duralite is to much expensive $105 then I discarded that option.
I will try ENELOOP, they are better than all regular NiMh batts. :o

I went to the club and could not stay all day with the bat. that comes with the TX. Bought a Outrage Lipo TX bat, and now go around 45 flights before needing to recharge.

Thanks! Which Outrage lipo is suitable for the 10CG radio? I would rather buy it at the same time as the radio.

Hi Rwinger,

I have heard a lot about the same thing, but this doesn't seem to be the case for my 10CHG. I do see it drain the Tx battery very fast even if I turn the radio transmitting off (blue LED off). I tried to use 8 AA NiMH 2500mAh, and I could see on the screen the Tx drained the battery like 1v/sec, and within a min, the siren went off.

I am just wondering if it's my Tx problem. Hope anyone of you will share more.

Thanks

thanks for reply. I plan to do that, but before getting one, I just wanted to make sure that it is not a problem of my Tx, but truly how the stock batteries behave.

Default 1200 NiMh

I just collected my 60th edition 10CHG and it came with a 1200ma Nimh as standard? Maybe Futaba has erceived a suitable amount of "feedback" and swapped out the standard battery for something with a little more grunt
