Oh for sure. With default settings it flew well. But this being my first heli with DFC head the cyclic and feel is very different. And I need to tune it so it is similar to my logos

I listened to a podcast interview with Mikado about 2 years ago. When asked about a self-leveling feature, Mikado made it clear that they were not interested in adding such a feature. That was then. Who knows what they are working on now.

Well now there's though competition with the hc3-sx, sk720, ikon....so maybe the vbars selling numbers will convince Mikado that such a feature (even better with automatic activation like hard deck) is needed to keep up with competition.

But isn't such a feature a self runner? IMHO Vbar with Rescue and VControl is

I have no interest in a self leveling feature. Once upon a time I would have paid extra for the feature but my need for it diminished long time ago. I can appreciate that lots of other people would want it though.

The RC industry is a funny industry. In most other industries, businesses exploit opportunities where there's a market. In the RC heli industry, businesses seem to think the tail wags the dog. The last 12 months has seen quite a few companies disappear. Things are very unpredictable and its dangerous to be complacent.

Maybe the hard truth is that the manufacteres look at the numbers and again maybe crashing means a lot of extra sold spare parts in comparison to just new sold heli's, but maybe that's just me...

You have a very good point but this is assuming Mikado makes most of their money from parts and not Vbar sales. For every Vbar on a Mkado heli I would imagine there are several on other brand helis

i should stop mucking up this thread, so this my last reply:
when one buys a fbl unit, why buy one without rescue? ( a part from having mastered the flying and the nerves). Surely not the saved $$ you're gonna spent on the next crash...
e.g. are there still cars, being sold, without ABS?

I wish they sold cars without abs that crap causes more trouble than its worth. Can't count the times I couldn't stop cause one tire slipped with the other three on solid ground.

not ABS causing that, I sort the software AND hardwear for those systems and they sure don't cause you to NOT STOP .

Also absolutely NO interest in self levelling and bail out systems, just a system that does what its designed to do and do it well, V Bar does just that, well it does for me anyway.
So a V controller I will certainly have provided it's not stupid money.

Paved roads abs great. Mud and dirt not so well. Just saying as I work in oil field. If one tire hits mud and slips it releases all of them even if they are on dry dirt. This is on 2014 Chevy and did it also on 2011 Ford. Just saying and end of my rant. Abs has its place as well as self level for the inexperienced. I'm a good driver raised on pumping brakes and can stop faster myself. I'm also not that greatest of pilots and my other heli with self level is helping me progress at some point it may be a crutch.
