Hi all ,Ive just bought the torque tube conversion for the v2 . Does it need greasing at all? . Also has anybody else fitted it and had troble with the rear servo clearance from the gear in the said T/T ? . I had to file the frame and move the servo up a couple a mm and super glue a piece of carbon fibre to the bottom of the servo, so as the servo wont kick down under load and catch the T/T gearing.

Default Main Gear Problem

I recently un-retired my 450 SE V2 and once powered up, only the main drive gear spins when spooled up. The tail gear and the main gear spin independently. Is that normal?

I think it's the oneway bearing...

Yup... One way bearing or the motor is turning the wrong direction!

Default Trex 450 sport tail rotor problem

Just finished building my 450 Sport. Previous experience was with the Eflite cx2 and cp pro. I followed the instructions in the manual and used the videos also.

I went to lift off and the heli spun uncontrolled so I set it back down.....scratched up the tail rotors a bit. I checked the tail belt tension and it seemed ok. Tail rotors are deflecting to the proper side with TX inputs. I used subtrim to get the tail rotor servo at 90. Could this be screwing with the gyro?

The main blades also feel very stiff in the blade grips even before securing the locknut. Is this normal for the Trex design?

You likely need to reverse your rudder channel or your gyro. Have you watched Finless' videos on gryo setup?

Reverse the gyro.
I have a V2 and the 325mm blades, the yellow ones, play in there and i have other blades, same 325mm, white this time, that are " fat " at the grip.

Question for you Bob? I watched your set up for the ccpm one and two. however do you have a video for head set up. the reason i ask is that when I followed your videos i only ended up with plus 7 and neg 7. so I had my local hobby guy help me and he told me that i did the ccpm correct but then failed to set up the head for pitch. I assumed from your videos that along as the wash out went the full range that it would be plus 11 and minus 11 pitch. then i also found out that you have a mild and wild (idle up) and they are set up different. i was curious if you had a video (s) that cover all of this?

Well yes kind of. I talked about that in CCPM setup 2... You use a picth guage and adjust your swash mix in the radio for pitch to get the pitch range you want!

Also Finless, where can you recomend some trustworthy sites that sell the PROPER se V2 kit? because as you said, I have been seeing a few sites lately selling a v2 kit, but the body was black not silver, so I am guessing it was just the se kit? Thanks.

You can get the V2 in silver or black frames. Use one of the vendors advertised here on HF and you should be good to go!

ohh ok, I thought that the 450se was a black frame, and another one of the differences with the 450se v2 is that the frame is now silver. Ok cool thanks.

Also, Finless, unless you only have the se v2, do you reckon the 450se v2 is the best align trex 450 available? or are any of those 450 pro, or 450 sprts better? im talking, performance and 3D based flying?
