My closest hobby shop charges at least $20 over HH's prices. I used to argue to try and get prices reduced but when they tried selling me an mQX motor for $17 I walked.

Luckily I found a new shop last week. It's actually cheaper to drive to a place I found that's 30 minutes away, even taking gas into account.

I am lucky that I am a discount member where I ordered. I looked at Ampdraw and noticed (as others have pointed out) that the price is back to 149.99 for the BNF version. I paid 129.00 for mine so I think I got a good deal based on what others are reporting. Now to see what part are going to cost for the little squirt.

I was at my local hobby store last week when the owner told me about the new nano (I hadn't heard anything about it). I immediately told him that I wanted one. I offered to pay for it right there, but he said no and then proceeded to scribble my name in a old dusty notebook, and said "You're all set" I don't feel very confident that I'll have it on launch day and have been considering placing a preoreder online somewhere. He also told me he charges $5 above MAP becuase "I have to pay to have these things shipped to me"....total BS line!!

Would you take his word or secure one online??

Actually, that's the same thing my LHS did, well, cept for the extra 5 bucks. I never asked how much, I know I want one and I never even thought he would charge more but we'll see. I thought it was funny you got your name down in the dusty ol' notebook too, heheh. He was saying the 27th so all I have to do is be patient.

HH direct, free shipping, no tax. I live next day ground shipping from warehouse. It was worth the 4 day wait from Ampdraw when ordered my 450 3d rtf for like $375, but on a pre-order I would rather pay to get it from the guaranteed to get it source.
