Default Vbar placement

Hi all I intend to put a mini/fullvbar into my new build and was wandering where people place there's? Im going to run a like pack for the electrics and wanted to put the vbar at the front so was wandering where people place their's? Any pictures of placements would be cool.

Thank you in advance

There is a pictures thread in here somewhere you might spot one. I guess Titan X50e owners are so happy and busy fly ing their X50e they dont get time to post in the forums. Lol!

Thank you for replying. Seen plenty of pictures with a mini vbar at the rear just wondered if anyone's mounted one at the front.

Want to join everyone else in flying this machine :-) build was excellent

I'm wanting one as well and have started gathering electronics for it already.
Good luck with it.

Think I've found a way to fit it all in without modding the frame. Found this earlier and this looks handy as well.

Very clever. It's just a cut down front tray but brilliant idea.

Hey JPH140, the X50e looks fabulous, thanks for sharing the pics.

Are you going to run a BEC or RX pack?

Great choice, cheaper than a good bec and safer too. I just read about a system running 12s with a bec. While setting up a brand new 700, the BEC fried and 44.4 volts went strait to all the electronics. It wiped out all the servos, RX and gyro 800.00 worth.

Ouch, expensive to replace all the electrics. Life battery was a no brainer for me as already have them on my other helis. Heard about this happening on the rc heli addicts site as well.

Cable tied everything now so heli is complete/maidened and I'm happy, will post some pictures of electronics placement in the week. :-)

Cheers

Hi jph140, was looking at your dropbox pics and noticed your blade grip arms are trailing instead of leading, idk if this makes any difference in flight? i was trying to see which way round to put the ball links - number in or out?

Hi, I flipped the blade grips when I set the vbar up :-) all sorted now. When you look at the ball links you'll notice a small ring on one side of the ball link around the hole. I press them onto the links with the ring facing the link, hope that makes sense.

Hey JPH140, when you set the V bar up do you have to mechanically trim the tail in rate mode like you do Futaba Gyros? Futaba gyros usually require around 7 degrees of right rudder mechanically adjusted with rudder servo at center and 90 degrees on the arm.

Hi, rather than me typing it out and nothing making sense click on the link and it explains how to setup the tail. I could never get my head around tail setups but the link made it easier for me :-)

Hope this helps

Looks like they are asking for only 3 degrees to counter the torque of the blades.

In a nut shell rate mode is like having your rudder servo plugged strait into the RX where it will automatically center when you let go of the stick. Then taking and mechanically adding some right rudder into the linkage so the blades are trimmed perfectly when the servo is centered. This way it will actually hover without stick input or TX trim.

You can move your rudder to the right just a little and watch what what your blades and linkage do. Usually you have to shorten the linkage. Not sure about it if you've flipped the grips.
to bottoms up.
