Default Ball link question

On the swash plate and tail slider there are those ball cups used to attach the links to the balls. What is the easiest way to remove these without scratching the daylights out of the surrounding aluminum?

I'm not sure where you mean. You have ball link pliers right?

I think you mean these closed cap links. I just use my normal ball link pliers, folded fullly open and gently lever them off with the side that fits behind the normal ball link.

Sorry I didn't explain very well. Wadders you got it right. I do have ball link pliers and I guess I'll be a bit more forceful next time.
