Default YS 60sr good, clutch not

Good news for me is I got my YS 60sr cooking again, like it's supposed to run. Bad news is I burned out the clutch liner and sprang the clutch when I landed during the second flight. I sent an email request to TT in Taiwan to see if I can source the clutch (I already have a good bell/liner and replacement liner). Dang this heli is fun to fly - hope it doesn't make the shelf too long. I am very impressed at how well the clutch held up.

Gas pliers? Do tell...

Edit: Google is our friend! I used a sheet of rubber on the clutch, and squeezed it with Robogrip pliers with gentle pressure. I've installed and test flown it successfully with a fresh liner in the bell. Touch of vibration in the tail, but hoping as the liner breaks in, any high spots which might be causing some vibes will wear down with some spool-ups.

Thanks for the suggestion, rcflier1!

Try Rctaiwan.

The clutches are good I've used 3 in my x50/raptors. About $8 us from memory.

Thanks. I am all set. I got one of those too.

Of course, now that TT has officially abandoned the model, not sure where anything else will come from. I don't know if to continue flying it or not.

Still some parts floating around on Fast Lad Performance. Their prices are decent and shipping is super quick (4 days to Australia)

Booms
Belts
Clutches
Main shafts (X50)
Tail Shafts/tail parts

All the above are available from RC Taiwan.

Learn to repair your carbon frames! I did with fantastic results.

I ordered a set of servos from FLP a couple of months ago. Took 4 days to get to USA. Then, held at customs for three weeks. Not again. I am not that attached to the bird. I have others to fly without all the to-do for parts.
