Skookum and FrSky
Their new Horus transmitter is nearing sale and interests me but.....
Is there another way to connect their receiver other than using a harness off the transmitter for each channel? I'm running two DSMX sats right now. I don't trust a module or hack. On planes this is not an issue but I love my Skookum fleet!

Ok does that mean they run off sbus or are you saying go with sbus receivers and futaba controller....
Or which would be the best receiver for connecting to a sk540?

The new rx's use sbus from frsky. There are a couple of threads he describing it in the skookum forum as well as the opentx forum. Select sbus. Select the proper channel order in the tx and boom your golden.
The x8r and the xr4 (might of named them wrong) both support sbus and smart port. I am currently waiting to switch to frsky from spectrum but have been keeping up on the info and getting used to setting up models in the companion software. It is a very versatile radio.

Ok, now I'm understanding it. The FrSky website is horrible.
A X4R receiver has 4 regular channels but through sbus it gives you 16 channels to the radio. That seems to be the most lightweight and economical solution. Now to wait for the Horus.
