Default Gryphon 75V 20A Hyper HV BEC

Hi, I cant really wrap my head around this configuration and would just like a little help. Currently I have a trex 700e f3c that I am in the process of turning into a 3d machine. Im running a RX pack to my servos and what not, so I guess my question is will I still be able to do this using the BEC in the title?

Ill be using an ar8000, stock align cyclis/tail, hc3sx, CC ice 120 HV v2, stock 700 motor (for now), since I am asking about using a separate battery to power electronics I would also like to ask what are the benefits of plugging directly to flight batts? I'm using CC 6.5 bullets from ESC to Batts, will that be a problem?

Reason for replacing is my other stock BEC will not power on anymore for reasons unknown. Also since I've quite a lot invested in my bird I would like the highest quality equipment possible. Not saying this model in particular is the best but from the reviews/ forums I have read this is the one I have leaned towards.

Any and all info is greatly appreciated!

The benefits of plugging directly into the flight batteries is less weight because you do not need the receiver battery. I use mine with 6 mm bullet connectors should be no issue there. These units are great and easily set up.

Awesome thanks for your input frito! Ive been using a RX battery for a good while now and am kinda comfortable with it.. I will try and hook up using the RX battery I have and see how it goes, if i run into any problems then I will just hook it up the other way.

If worse comes to worse, do you know of any tutorials as to how to solder the wires to the connectors? I'm thinking ill just cut the casing back a little bit and solder over the -/+ ESC wire but at the same time trying to mesh the BEC wires into the ESC wires so they intertwine somewhat? Sound good?

Your input made my day frito!!

Hi

I use mine directly into 12s flight package.
I use 6mm gold connectors, and it's easy to solder both wires into the same plug.

Never had any issue at all. Both in combos with hv bls servos, and normal digital.

On 700size machines, I do use extra safety, and use a scorpion backup guard.

Hope this helps.

Best regards

RasmusDK, thank you sir for your input as well. That back-up guard is a brilliant idea also! Im purchasing one as we speak!

As for the soldering, ill figure it out its just rather difficult when your soldering by yourself without a helping hand.. I should invest in one of those solder stations... I will, one day..

All, I do appreciate your help and thank you for taking the time out of your day to help me!!
