and then you're relying on the tape's bond to not only the servo, but the epoxy's bond to the tape... I've seen way too many servos pop loose when "secured" that way.

hmm yeah sounds a bit dodge to me.

Flew in the local park last night, the drug dealers that frequent it were very impressed, got drawn in to a long conversation about shipping drugs in to prison with a model helicopter. What a friendly bunch.

I think I've got some of those solder-on clevises and I know I've got a boat load of single ended threaded pushrod in 2-56 size..

What'd you use to paint the airframe with? Almost looks like you glassed it.... (or did you?)

I did until one fell off midflight

TomRex, in the last picture the underside of yours is a dramatically different shape to mine, or is that different plane?

haha.. understandable..

well my squall met its demise yesterday.. sort-of. It could probably be repaired (just the forward 6" of fuselage broke off) But i dont feel like repairing it, plus i was getting bored with flying the thing. If anyone needs some spare airframe parts and a TV unit, lemme know, i'm going to attempt to take the EDF unit and electronics out w/o destroying the thing to much more.

that's a shame, I'd be interested in the TV unit but I'm guessing shipping alone would be more than just buying one over here

probably.. I pulled it out of the trailer, and other than 1 or 2 pieces of missing foam (about 1'x2") it could be repaired.. I may just throw it on the net for sale as it is just to move it...

The green hornet was wbpu and 1/2oz glass with rustolium neon and the yellow one was epoxy and 1.5oz warp glass on the bias with model master that did a perfect Steve Austin show center for 150' down the runway!
