Great now the manual is wrong and I had just printed it from the web site above, way to go Jeti and/or Esprit. Never trust the printed word. Unless Mkovalcson can chime in on the way he did it.

Sorry mallen I was going with what I had and what was said originally here

https://www.helifreak.com/showthread...t=R5l+receiver

to answers from actually psylence519

Default I almost did too!

psylence519,

I read the same thing you did about the PPM out on the R4 but when I asked about it at IRCHA this year, I was told that you couldn't. So that's when I contacted Esprit to find out for sure. So if someone has "actually" done it with the R4, please let us all know how....Thanks!

I asked Esprit on the RCGroups forum to chime in as they seem to monitor it more. We will see.

mkolvacson said on the first page he had the R4L running PPM out on port #4. I'm inclined to believe him... Hopefully he can chime in as to how.

Quite confusing this is!

According to that post (attached image), only the R11, R14 and R18 have PPM output... Is that maybe just an outdated table?

Default R4 PPM Output

I was able to get an R4 receiver to output PPM on slot 4. After binding the receiver I just went into the device explorer and selected the receiver output to be PPM instead of servo. Using the PPM stream to run a Spektrum Module for some bind and fly planes and helis.

i have an R4i, and an R4L. Both are FW3.11 and I am doing PPM out to
a USB Sim adapter, and a Demon 3SX with them.
Output mode selections are: Servo Output, PPM positive, PPM negative,
EX Bus, and UDI.

JETI EU and US receivers are different (due to some local laws ?)
Search for duplex-rx-en_2013-04-fw-3.10.pdf that show both EU and US
technical data.

Sorry I haven't been watching this forum very closely lately.

I looks like everything got sorted anyway

Currently I'm running R4, R6, R7's, R9 all PPM out.

I just found this. Wouldn't you need a jetti to dsm bridge box for every dsm model you have or would you swap the jetti rx in the box and have to have a jetti ppm rx for every dsm model. I am lost. Doesn't the jetti have its own form of "model match" ??

You need ONLY ONE bridge box and ONLY ONE Jeti Rx on bridge box for all the DSM2/X real models/receivers you have.
You have to bind the Jeti Rx on the bridge box with the Jeti Tx models and to bind the DSM2/X module with the Rx of the real model (when you change the real model with another one you have to rebind it with the DSM2/X module).

I hope this is clear...my English is bad !!!

You have to bind the RSAT to the DS/DC-16 only one time.

All other bindings have nothing to do with the Jeti stuff and happen on the side of the Orange module (which has it's own binding knob).

Even though you have to change the DS/DX model slot when you're having several BNFs that require different settings you don't have to bind/rebind the RSAT

Thanks! One more question. How will the latency be using this bridge box? Anyone know.

I'm not sure of the number.....but I can fly BNF and F3P plane/quad with DSM2 receiver and don't feel any lag....I don't have an Heli at the moment but that should be soon...

Well, I am not so sure this bridge will be easy to use in my spectrum based stuff. My micro helis have decased full blown fbl units in them. Not the easy to bind as3x stuff or 3+1 boards from blade etc. So every time I switch a micro heli it is not as easy as just powering it up first and then pushing the bind button on the spectrum module and powering up the tx at low throttle. I think I will have to go theu the hassle of re binding the spectrum sats thru the fbl units with bind plugs and fbl programming buttons. Not fun lol! Also in the one heli it is a robird g31 and the sat has to be bound to a full rx first.
Or is the spectrum module going to recognize the model on the jetti tx??
If I have to continually rebind at the orange spectrum module when I want to fly a different micro heli I might just keep my jr9303 for them?
Problem is you get so used to a particular tx.
