Default Trex 500 3G flybarless?

Hi guys, right now I am throwing up between getting a Spartan DS760 or Quark, or just going straight into Flybarless by getting myself the Align trex 500 3G flybarless system. My main thought are whether or not the flybarless will suit me. I have gotten into inverted hovers, tic tocs and rols etc and the basics of 3D with my 500 before it crashed because of a stupid mistake. I am rebuilding the 500 and if I was ever going to convert it to fbl, I would rather do it when I dont need to take everything apart. Would the flybarless 3G system be ok for my flying skills? will it fly the same/ better then the normal flybarred trex 500 esp? is the fbl 3G system more for a much more experienced pilot then someone like me? Thanks alot guys.

well i went for FBL for the extra power and the consistent tail(V-bar), i already had a scorpion 1600 motor so FBL was the next step in usefull power for my flying style.

i do not have any flying experience with the 3G but i know the tail won't hold half as good as a decent gyro, so you can do it only for the extra power IMO.

but if you are interested in extra power and you want a raliable tail go for the 1600 scorpion(the 1400 scorpion eats lipo's and alot of flight time) and a spartan gyro.

i like my V-bar because it is superior to the align 3G but i have to admit the V-bar costs twice and can only be recomended if you can miss the extra cash.

no problem, FBL is not 'all that' sometimes i really mis the connected feel of the flybar(altough the 3G system has that feeling) and the scorpion motor is a nice upgrade, when i flew flybar with this motor it did'nt bog like the stock one and my flight times went up with 30+ seconds(!).

Thats another thing, what is the definition of bogging a motor with rc helis? I dont htink I have ever done it, whenever I do 3D with my blade 400 or trex 500, the motor has never died or anything!

when using to much pitch or you are flying with a high pitch range and you have poor collective management...

the stock motor bogs if you go over 10° of pitch, the scorpion can handle 12° without bogging.

it's basicly a setup/thumb thing...

no not shutting down, rather loosing rpm so the headspeed goes down what can be catastrofical in the worst case...
