Nice fuselage PTcaflyer.

About the tail wag, what gyro you use? Seems like you have high gain.

Thanks!
This one has a GP 780 in it and gain is at 62. I will try to lower it and see if it still holds.
The 425 I just finished has a clone GY520 on it that holds way better than the GP 780
both my Mid Boom 500 and Long Boom 550 have the original GY 401's that always hold well.

Thanks!
...I believe that canopy came with a 550 "Kit" that was once available...
It is very old and would probably be considered now as " Vintage Gaui" LOL!
I will post the current photos of that heli tonight as that was a shake down flight with the high Vis canopy...

Haven't seen much activity here in this area so I figured I would pipe up! I'm looking forward to flying this one!

It took me almost a half hour to unpack it when I received it today!!

Fantastic job on the packaging and the helicopter itself and a great base for what it is about to become...

It dwarfs my TRex 450 that I'm building, this thing is big!

Well did some more work on getting it set up on my DX8

had some nasty spool up shudders so I have to work on that next...

...putting it away until I have more time! Don't want to damage it too much while I'm getting things tuned...

The blades were marked for which grip they came out of...that may be some of the vibes...
It would always smooth out once in the air. Double checking rotating elements is always good practice...

I have spent time going through the setup mainly so that I can be sure everything is doing what it is supposed to be doing so there won't be any issues when I hover it for the first time. I know that I still am getting used to the new DX8 that I have and still have some work to do on that. The spool up vibes are to be expected some anyway but I'm still digging through getting comfortable with the setup. I don't want anything to happen to this nice fuselage while I'm getting familiar with it. It really is a very nice unit! Thanks for the note Paul on the blade positions... I didn't realize that so let me look at that!
