Default servo extensions

isit possible/adviseable to actually tgake the case off of a servo and solder the exact length of wire that i need? cyclic servos on my trex wires are just about 2 inches too short to run them how id like to. ive seen threads about soldering extensions, but 2" extensions is rather short, i think.

thanks

rob

Ive done it, you need a really good soldering iron, (I use a weller ESD with temp control) solder wick or solder sucker and a pana vice. Alot of patience and be very careful not to damage the motor that is attached to the curcuit board. Oh an exacto knife to remove the silicone, (when appling the new silicone you need to make sure that it is rated for electronics or you will have a electrolysis problem or you might as well throw the servo away!) Iif you can do this then you can add a longer wire to your servo.
