Default Corona CT14F 2.4GHz module

Hello,

I wonder if someone have tried the CT14F module from Corona on the 12Z or 14MZ transmitter.

I have bought one recently and I have experienced interference problems using on a Trex 450 heli, causing a break of the heli in one ocassion.

I think the problem could be due to the ESC that is so close with the RX in that heli because of the size. But I am really dissapointed about this issue because I will need to be back to my 35MHz module instead this one.

I really appreciate if someone can give me a feedback about this module.

Regards,
Jose Carlos

I do not have direct experience with that flavor of 2.4 however I do remember reading somewhere that Rx does not like to transmit through CF.

The second thing I would look into is one of those rings that go on the ESC to keep noise down.

Finally from what I remember there was something about the Rx and ESC needing to be 5cm from each other on some of the 2.4 systems on the market which may be difficult with a 450.

Well, the ESC has a ferrite in the cable, it is a Turnigy and it is sold with that item installed.

Also, the chasis of the heli is made of metallic and plastic, not carbon fiber, so that shouldn't be a reason for the interference.

By the way, I am afraid you are right with the minimal distance between ESC and RX

Thanks a lot anyway bobog.
