Default Align governor setup

ive got 11 ftanks on my gaui nx4 now and i think its time for some basic 3D

i dont quiet understand the align gov .. as it being my very first nitro .. so my questions are

what % of gov to i run on my tx

also what throttle curves do i put on for idle up 1 and also idle up 2

here was my 11th flight of the gaui today .. not very good quality didn't have my go pro on me at the time

Hey buddy.

1) Make your throws as close to 100 to 100 on the servo
2) Set the range of your tx stick in the gov, just follow their directions, 5 sec setup
3) your gov will only take over after 30% throttle stick
4) Set your normal 0-50-100 for now (you can have the gov turn on in normal if you like)
5) Set idle up above 50% so the gov stays on all of the time... So set each to 100-60-100. If the gov fails or the magnet flies off it will revert to your pitch curves, in this case 100-60-100.

Not sure of your radio but if you don't have a "gov" menu, mix your gov channel to your flight mode switch so your gov will turn on and off automatically. You could do it manually if you like but for me that is just one more thing to forget. If you have a gov mix set the ATVs there.

Set the ATV for normal at 0 ( gov will not turn on), set the ATV for idle up 1 to say 70 and idle up two to 90.

Go hover, go to idle up one and see if two slow, just right, or too fast. If to slow go to idle up two and see how that is. Adjust ATVs.

I have a 12x and it has the "gov" menu
Normal +80 (I keep the gov on at a nice speed for hover etc.)
ST-1 + 110
ST-2 + 110 (I don't use idle up two but have it set just in case I hit the switch to far, same setup on 1 and 2)
Hold 0 (gov off even if stick above 30%)

Hope that makes sense

Tauseef

PS: Good flight , plenty of smoke. Mine piros well too. Fast little bugger isn't it,

beastx does the job well on this heli .. only thing i notice .. is that wobble on stationary piros .. you cannot see it well in video .. but as the tank use more fuel it becomes worse .. its a cg problem .. doesn't seem to be that bad at beginning of flight but its still slightly tail heavy

and for my epa on travel its 100high 76low .. thats the best as i could get it ..

so what if i wanted to set the 2 idle up

one at 2500rpm

second at 2700rpm

what would the throttle curve be ...

100-60-100 on both ?

and yes it has a gov mode

and i set it so the gov turns on when i go into idle up. dont really need gov in normal mode hehe ..

so i leave the throttle curve alone and play with % value in gov menu until head speed is good ?

Yep

The 100-60-100 is just there to tell the gov to stay on regardless of stick position and also just in case you throw the magnet/gov failure. You actually might want to do 100-80-100 as 60 would probably be to low in the center.

So yours would be like:

Normal : 0
Idle up 1: 100
Idle up 2: 120
Hold: 0

Keep playing with h ATV # until you get to the settings you like.
