Nice. You may want to move the tail servo to the opposite side. I've seen crashes where the broken main blades came around and struck the tail boom mounted servo.

It's nice to see another one with the motor wires running out the left side (facing away). My sat is mounted opposite side, and forward, but it seems to work well on the bench. Well, until I got careless with the throttle hold and stripped two of the servos making sure it didn't kill anyone. My goal is to have mine flying (FINALLY!!!) this weekend. Fingers crossed!!!

Just out of curiosity why mount the beast upside down?
What's on the gyro mount? And did you need any servo wire extensions?

under for my setup gave me better wire access. The one on top is the TM1000 telemetry unit. Putting it on top would have put all the wires through the belt access and with wire braiding, it was too large.

I had to extend 1 wire. The one for the elevator as the servo wires on the S9650 are pretty short. Used a 2$ extension off ebay.

Not at all. The new Carbon fibre kit is conductive and does not require grounding.

Thanks for sharing.

Did your hands freeze being out there in all that white stuff (sorry, but the only time I see that is when we go visit the inlaws in PA during the holidays)?

I also want to go with the beastx but am waiting on the reports after the first batch of Horizon's receiver/beastx combo come out...figure everything being in one compact package would be nice.

The tail blades look real nice...are they MSH or KBDD?

I'm not worried by quality issues when it comes out as it is 2 proven products that have simply been put together. (AR8000 + Beast X)

The blades are KBDD. No idea if they are better than stock at the moment as I could not do 3D today with them. They are really snug in there though and had to file them a bit, and check balance on them.
