Default Vortex Setup videos

Hi All,

As of today we have two sets of Vortex setup videos.

The new setup videos by Bert Kammerer are based on the currently latest and greatest Vortex V3 firmware. They are an excellent resource to get you going with the Vortex if you know your way around the heli and have used flybarless systems before. Bert's video playlist can be found here:

https://www.youtube.com/playlist?lis...MScyo774YQZ3OV

Bob O's videos are based on the Vortex V1 firmware and thus you may find some differences in the swashplate setup. However, they are still largely applicable to newer firmware versions and aside from the swash setup there are no big (if any) differences in the other setup steps. Bob follows a slower pace than Bert and explains things in more detail. Bob's video playlist can be found here:

Cheers,
Angelos

Bert did do a very good job

just wish he could have delved more into advanced PID parameters like D elevator etc for the main rotor when going through tuning video

also in his brief description of each unit he said the features of vx1 and nano is exactly the same, when in fact the vx1 has vibration analyses while the nano does not have it.

Bert,

I just watched the vid on Flight Modes, very cool. I had never thought of using a different 3-position switch to control the Flight Modes of the Vortex.

So the real benefit here as I see it, is having 3 different Vortex setups for EACH of your 3 head speeds (or 4 if you count TH), but only if NOT using the Vortex governor. Currently, with the Vortex Flight Modes tied to my flight mode switch, I get only one Vortex setup tied to each head speed.

In my Tx Setup video, I just discovered that I didn't show doing the endpoints for the Aileron channel. It needs to be done just like the rest of the channels.

There are some free programs out there that will allow you to grab and save youtube and other videos.

Just type ss in front of the youtube.com

For example:

Code:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JJMJ6UygMws
becomes:

Code:
https://www.ssyoutube.com/watch?v=JJMJ6UygMws
It is somewhat slower than the programs Bob O mentioned but saves you the hassle to find the right program from a trusted source.
