Hi MrMel,
looked at your video for the bank switching but can not get it to work properly.
I have a JR 9303 and can not tie the Flight Mode switch to channel 4.
I can see on the V-Bar main panel that my gear switch is working on the AUX channel but that's it.
Any idea how to program the FLT-Mode switch that it works as a bank switch???
Anybody else is welcome as well, of course.

Cheers
Heliskip

Episode 19 is up where I install drivers on a 64-bit system (Windows 7) and sign/certify the driver.

Same as the guide over at VStabi, but a step by step video.

Episode #20 part 1 & 2 is up,

Deeper dive into geometry of a FBL helicopter, If you buy something like a Logo or other "pre-made FBL" machine you might don't have to watch this as it don't apply.

This episodes target those that has to convert their own or check over their geometry after switching head etc.

(I've touched this briefly in previous episodes but felt this deeper dive was needed)

If anyone of you all feel that something is missing or something need more clarification, please don't hesitate to ask/request, I'm a bit "snowed-in" here, for me some stuff is obvious where as its only because I've been doing for too long.

I'd be very interested in some videos on "tweaking" to various flyign styles. For example, I love a hard stopping tail, showing how to achieve various tail preferences would be very helpful.

Also, the various tail parameters in-depth would be awesome.

Maybe some technical episodes on what the two "optimizers" actually do and/or possibly how the trim flight works to adjust parameters, i.e., what do these things actually change in the settings or behind the scenes.

Or even an episode outlining the control loop itself and how various aspects of the settings apply.

My two cents!

"how to optimize your Optimizer flight" is an episode I just render

More tweaking will come, there is some explanation of the tail parameters when I go through the program, you seen those?

As for what Trim actually does I think its easiest to take here;

It simply make the swash "level" for your needs (CoG), detecting drift and make it as good as it can, same for tail, to find its "real center".

Episode 22 - Optimizer

I show how I "overdrive" the optimizer, making it "do its magic" faster.

Running optimizer for a few flights, yes, it can tweak the heli better than any human ever can do, so its something that you should do.

VERY NICE!

I will look forward to more "non-newbie" videos!!! The ins and outs of how to tweak lesser know variables etc.

Fredrik, just clarifying ... It shouldn't matter much if the overdriven Optimizer flights are during a windy day, right?

That's what I thought. Thanks for the tips on the Optimizer flights, I will definitely do that soon.

I have seen your Jive/Jazz video and use that method on my Jazz 40 but one question seems to have never quite been answered.. How much room below the maximum throttle limits does the Jazz gov need to govern properly in your experience?..
