Really a 600 size heli, they even fit a Kosmik to it! Will be a great practising heli for getting those half cubans sorted. Delivery world wide is mid Aug 2015.
Jan told me delivery for my TDR2 is first week in July, have not heard since, so waiting with great anticipation!!!

Does that mean he has accepted payment yet or did you get this information a while back?

Got info via email, no payment or options email yet, but saw on Facebook that initial worldwide release might be early August now.

Sorry guys, this is not funny at all. Let us stick to the hobby please

Maybe you do not realize but this is costing each and every non Greek EU individual a lot of money....And so at the end of the day also Jan will be suffering from this situation.

Perhaps a little bit more empathy would be more appropriate

Thanks

So the question is will Jan charge more to help bail out the Greek economy?

I'd like to empathize with you but it really has been a long time coming. Having money in the bank and complaining when the currency takes a hit is a cop out. Currency is no different to having shares you get to pick the shares or the currency you invest in and you have to take the bad with the good.

To us non Euro union countries it does seem strange turn of events and for me it merely means paying less in our currency. African countries have long suffered under the same type of unlimited borrowing from their governments.

The BUMP was merely because there were ZERO activity on the Henseleit thread, just my sense of humor.

Default I'm on the list

I've spent the last three years simming and hovering indoor micros with an emphasis on upright orientations and precision landings (mCX2, 120SR, mCPx-V2, nCPX-BL and some cheap Chinese FP micros (v911 & GW9958/HK190)). After an initial crash with the mCPX-BL a couple years ago, I realized that I need to learn how to fly CP with the sim before venturing out into the real world.

This summer I'm going to bravely venture outside to fly my bigger CP fleet IRL - (mCPX-BL, 130X, 180CFX, 300X and Trex 450 Sport V2). I'm hoping that a thousand hours of simming will make this transition pretty painless and relatively crash-free. I think these cheaper, smaller models will work well as beaters to allow me to get past my crashing phase and get dialed into CP flying in the real world.

Meanwhile, my thinking is that: RC HELICOPTERS ARE INHERENTLY DANGEROUS! (especially the bigger ones). Thus, to maximize safety, (and minimize the probability of crashes due to mechanical failure), from here on out I'm only purchasing top-of-the-line gear for any new larger helis. With this in mind I've just received my first two new high quality kits that I'll be building: an Oxy3 and a Mikado Logo 550sx. Flying these for six months or so should be a good stepping stone towards flying the TDR.

Anyhoo, the "on the list" confirmation email I received from Jan said to expect the kit to be ready probably next Spring (I'm pretty far down on the list). But I'm not in any hurry (and not ready to fly it yet anyway).

Cheers everybody!

All clear, no offence

FWIW, I'm number 21 on the list and haven't received any email yet.

I started my transition to Large CP type Helis much the same way.

Sounds like you have a good-plan and the Oxy3 (from what I've seen) is a nice set-up for that size but the Logo 550SX should end-up being your GO-TO Heli at some point as they (Mikados) are easily maintained and one-of the best Flyers (IMHO).

" costing each and every non Greek EU individual a lot of money"

You're absolutely incorrect.

The greek socialists haven't cost me a dime.

To relate such to Jan is outrageous.

Since when has Texas become an EU member?

He was referring to non Greek EU individuals.

Are you a Greek?

And what does that have to do with Jan?
Tenn. is, because Corker votes that way....LOL

Chill out...Greece's economic crisis only affects them...unless one was so unwise to invest in Greece.

Maybe he is designing and building a metal gear set?

The one issue that has "plagued" the TDR1 is: Power production has increased greatly since the original design and the gear set is now considered "fragile".

The amount of power that is being produced currently has gotten to the point that it is destroying LiPos. Maybe Jan doesn't want to repeat the TDR1 gear issue and is going to metal gears?

(The above is total speculation.)

I really don't get where you are coming from.

The EU has plummeted recently.
The Canadian dollar has dropped quite a bit.
China's economy is having some issues.
Puerto Rico is about to default on something like $75B

All of these economic issues DO affect us since we are actually tightly coupled.

So right now the dollar is riding high, which is great if you are looking to get a new TDR-2 kit, but not so great if you are a manufacturer in the US who is trying to export products.
