Default Tail Rotor/Gyro setup question

Setup:

Raptor 50V2
OS50
GY401/9253

I recently started to do more aggressive piro stuff and have found a problem.

I am running a headspeed of about 1670 to 1800, depending on the mood and type of manuvers I am doing.

When I am climbing out inverted and add a bit of cyclic, such as a slight roll to upright the tail lets go. It seems it only happens at full collective. Upright it seems to work fine.

I am running 75% gain in HH. I am running the stock plastic blades so I have considered this as a possible problem. I don't know for sure though.

It seems that I am just running out of tail rotor pitch. The tail holds perfect in all other types of manuvers. It locks solid in backwards fast flight and other manuvers as well.

Any thoughts?

Jeff

Jeff,
Just a guess.
But since your saying this only happens at full collective. I would think you need to go to different tail blades or a larger tail rotor disk.
At full collective climb outs, that is when the tail is having to do the most work to try and maintain the position.
Try some different and longer tail blades.

Thanks David,

I kinda thought the same thing. I have a set of Marick tail blades. I these are the same length but a wider cord.

How do you think a wider cord blade will do?

Jeff
