New 6S lipo option
Looks like Turnigy has a new lipo that can be charged about 0.15V more per cell than a regular lipo. With a 6S, that's close to 1V more, giving you more speed. Interesting. Would love to see a discharge curve to see where the flat-spot is....higher that 3.7V?
They are calling this a 22.8 lipo, so I would hazard a guess that the answer to my question above would be 3.8V. Some chargers like my Hyperion can accommodate for charging over 4.2V. http://hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store...poly_Pack.html Last edited by FNFAL; 08-06-2014 at 12:13 PM.. |

My concern would be if the higher voltage is accommodated by the esc. If for example you have a 6s esc rated at 25,2 volts max, what happens at 26,1 volts (6x4,35)

As soon as the motor spools up, pack voltage goes down, so won't be stressing the ESC.

That's a sweet looking battery. I've always liked Nanotechs.. so I'll be hoping they make more Mah pack sizes with the Bolt.
