Santini,

Great Video!

Really nice to see straight, clean, precision flying (you don't see much of that anymore and I always enjoy watching it). Your lines were incredibly straight-I am very impressed, sir!

"One of the guys changed over from mikado fbl conversion and likes it a lot better."

I am actually contemplating upgrading the head on the Logo 600 3D to the TracX head. I think that would be a good combination.

Thank you for posting the vid!

You will like that combination. I did that, and it was like getting a new helicopter!

This head uses the stock align main shafts but does this head use the standard align feathering shafts as well?

Or do you have to use the tracx only feathering shafts

Hey,
did anyone have problems with there head quality wise?
I got mine for my 600 and it has cosmetic and mechanical defects.
One thread was damaged during assembly and is useless now...
I was expecting a flawless product...
I wrote Mike and Email and he sends a replacement. I hope the other one is better.

according to compass that front screw is cosmetic and takes no force hence why it has no material to screw into. I dont know why one would add a cosmetic screw but mine came stripped aswell and they sent me a replacement but the back screw holds it on plenty tight enough. i would also get away from the stock dampers they suck big time.

"according to compass that front screw is cosmetic and takes no force hence why it has no material to screw into."

That screw is not cosmetic! Its not a terribly deep threaded hole, but it is not cosmetic.

Please contact Nankin for assistance.

"what is advantage to this head?"

It improves the handling of every helicopter I have put it on (Atom-conversion to FBL, Trex 600E, Kyosho Caliber 700, Compass 6HV-conversion to FBL).

It does not wear out-still no slop in any of the heads on the helicopters mentioned above.

The phasing is fixed and correct, automatically with no additional/unnecessary linkage (follower/carrier/swashplate driver). A friend of mine has a popular 700E (think of them most popular one and that is it). One of the arms on the follower developed mass quantities of slop in flight causing erratic performance).

The blade grip arms can be replaced without changing the whole grip.

There are multiple threads by people who have upgraded their Trex 500's to this head. One or two who have upgraded the Thunder Tiger X50, etc.

You'll have a new helicopter. IMO the 500esp FB head has a lot of slop to beging with, and after year or two mine was pretty bad, even w shims in it. I was going to sell it to be honest, but after looking at this head, I decided to give it a shot. Gald I did, its a new heli. Zero slop. Combined w the Bx, its a completely new experience.

As for falke above, wow, my head was nothing like that one, so I am sure Mike with make it right. Mine was pristine and smooth as glass. Two other guys I fly with immediately went and changed over their 500esps and they are equally happy, I would say. We had all pretty much put away our 500s, but now we are hammering on them regularly. I put a doz packs thru mine last Friday, it was great.

One thing, when putting the grip bolts in for the first time, you need to carefully and firmly get them started because the tolerances of the bolt and hole are close. I had no issue, but one of the guys did mess up on of the threads, but he retapped the hole himself. Also, dont use a death grip on the driver when tightening, it only needs loctite and a firm seating, the bolts are not going to back out, they are that snug going in.

I would love to see both a Compass 450 and one of these heads, that size. I have eight 450's I would convert!
