Default Using the 63T gear

I just ordered the main pulley 63T for my Leppy. From across the pond.
Anybody have any experience with this gear ratio?
I'm running the KDBB 70mm with current set up and it's pretty solid. I had to turn my gyro down 10% when I installed them.
Current set up: CC85HV/CC10amp bec, Scorpion HK-3026 1000K, 20T 2850 Governed. Head speed is a little high but I love the power. My lipos are coming down at around 105~108F, I can live with it for now.
I'm kinda stuck running 4's I have 3 TP 3850 V2's, Or i would go 5's or 6's. Ill just wait till I kill them!

Should I just leave them on or should I used the smaller ones?

Maybe Jafa can ring in. Seems to know his Leppy's..

All good - that setup is known to work well

Headspeed is not too high, my flying buddy runs 3100!

A slightly better setup is 1210kv and a 16T pinion from a TRex500
This goes easier on the 4S battery

Thanks, Jafa.

What do you think about my tail blades. Stay with the KDBB 70mm. They seem a little mushy to me not very stiff. Or Go back down to stock size but with CF blades with that new 63T tail gear ratio?
Thanks, Lou.

I would avoid the stock tail blades at all cost - not enough tail power

You do need 68mm to 70mm tails on the Lepton
Not sure if the longer boom solves the problem

You will find the tail works fine with the KDBB tails
but quick stops won't be very crisp
unless you use a spartan and change the decelleration setting :-)

corona007 - I have 11 sets of plastic 68mm tail blades on order. If you want, I'll sell you some of them. Let me know. I should have them saturday. I also ordered a 64 tooth pulley from Germany for my Lepton. It's the Delron one.

To All - The Radix 72mm tail rotor blades will not fit on a Lepton without modifications. You would have to file the blade root down to fit inside the blade gripes and you need to put a bushing inside because they are made for 3mm bolts.
