Once you switch to 14 channel FASSTest with telemetry, the RF link changes to 15ms update rate. So, if all other processing is the same speed, the latency may increase by just ~8ms worst case. Adding telemetry gives you a little drawback in extreme controlling. The Futaba RF protocol has a neat design feature, where each telemetry up-link packet is actually transmitted instead of a control packet. This means that telemetry-packets effectively causes a "missed frame" on the control system. So, if you increase the (user-definable) telemetry-rate, you will increase the frequency of these missed packets. While perfectly safe for your model, it will cause sporadic increases of latency by another 15ms). Cheer |

Thanks rcexpert, that definitely helps to clarify my earlier-post.

I normally run my R7008SB RX. in 12CH. FASSTest and set the Telemetry-rate to it's highest setting (2.0 seconds). This way I know I'm still getting the FASSTest latency possible (pun-intended).

I've recently set this up on a 450 with a 3 cell 11.4v battery. I obviously have the Threshold set to high because I'm constantly getting alerts. I had it set at 10.8v. About where should I set it - 9.8v?

It's going to vary depending on the age and C rating of the packs, as well as your flying style.
I would slowly keep backing it down until you find your packs resting voltage is around 3.7-3.8 VDC/cell. |

So did a little research and the uniEsens has more to offer and 34 pg manual for all protocols. E fuel gauge is more than I need and exactly what I'm looking for. Emailed Thomas last night received a response this am and the unit is on its way. That's customer service.

Nice! I do like the uni-sens but they need one with an EC5 connector. I'm going to see if they will start making or do a custom one.

Installed my efuel gauge today, pretty simple and set up was just as easy. Voila now I can fly mAh instead of a timer. Hopefully the weather will break soon so I can test.

Tell us how it works and how accurate it is!
I'm about to bite the bullet and get a Used telemetry Rx. Then Efuel-Gauge

My eFuelGauges are very very accurate, aprox. 10-40 mah. difference to the next charge, and sometimes even less than that.

So finally had the opportunity to use the efuel gauge. Works fantastic, my clock timer was set to 4.5 min I flew too 6.5min and used 60% capacity at a lower head speed IU2 (1750) I have 3 iu settings. Good by timer Hello MAH
This was on a logo 600 695 mains, pyro 700 52, and jive pro 10s.
