Default Heli training taking a while, so I bought a plank

I joined my local RC club and decided that since they're 99% into planks, I'd join them and buy one too. Now I can at least fly ~something~ while trying to learn to handle my B400.
My local club has Tuesday night newbie classes, so I'm taking my new plank this Tuesday.

Anyway, I wish I could say that I'm ready to take to the air with my heli, but I'm not, so the plank will help keep me satisfied while I learn to fly my heli

On another note, my wife decided that she didn't want to stand behind the fence and watch me have all of the fun, so she joined the club too and is going to fly the plank!

WOw thats cool, so did you find a Non AMA club to join, we just have Ama feilds(clubs) around here. not only got join club but got join AMA to. My curent GF is learning to fly but not a member of club dont have the money to join AMA i have let her fly on buddy box tho when no one else is there. Were losing our feild at end of this season anyways so.

Planes are easier for most then helis but they fly int he air the same. just learn to use that left stick flying the planes and you be better at helis.

I bought the Alpha 40 Trainer:

Yeah, it's cool to have her interested in the hobby - helps me "justify" new purchases

Ours is AMA - I think they all are around my area. The way I fly, I need the insurance!!

I heard some concern that we may lose our site at the end of the year too.

The Alpha 40 is a great trainer! Having the dihedral makes is SOO freaking easy...if you let go of the sticks, it will basically right itself. When you get bored, check out my EDF (electric ducted fan) jets thread

Have fun!
