Angry Futaba TelME Release News

I have had a Futaba TelME on order for 5 months now, having been dealing with MikadoUSA. They let me know that the TelME for Futaba was not yet available and were awaiting news. MikadoUSA have been completely upfront about this and have been contacting Kontronik for updates. I have been very happy with MikadoUSA's handling of my order.
When I last requested an update, MikadoUSA contacted Kontronik and were told 'Maybe end of year'. Now I already use the JLog2.6 and am happy with this functionality. However, for people who are imminently expecting news of a release for the Futaba TelME, it sounds like, from the horse's mouth, that this aint goin to happen.

From my quick research the JLog2.6 seems to be a better product.. I wouldnt bother with the TelMe module if you have the JLog.. For example one item i recall was the JLog has a more accurate reporting of mAh usage and there was also an issue with TelMe rpm reporting too..

The problem as it has been discussed before is that in order to get telemetry working with futaba products there has to be a new set of values and a device added to the telemetry menus in the Futaba transmitters. The problem is that the only radio with enough memory to add another set is the 18mz. This means that an alternate solution has to be found Which takes collaboration from both sides. The current variables that futaba has that jlog uses doesn't include all the variables and limits that correspond to what the ESC would be reporting.

That may be right so far, Richard. On the other hand: You will always find space in ROM and RAM to make something better. (Btw: Horizon seems to have a similar problem. Not every transmitter supports each sensor.) One must also ask: why do they bring new transmitters that still contain an undersized microcontroller? This also has other causes...

The downside of this is: I fear it will never change with Futaba.

I had invested time, described the Futaba developer a sensor "ESC+" with bite-sized protocol-internal details. What was the result? He took the existing "Current Sensor" and "Temperature Sensor" and "RPM Sensor" and grabbed em in an "ESC". Oh great!
...a bit like the Japanese build their plane in "Those Magnificent Men in their Flying Machines"

I described to him also how to implement a much better (more flexible) protocol (without registering, sensors with alarming etc). I could have spoken in my trash can...

The bottom line is (still the same as in early April 2012 as JLog was the worldwide first sensor in the market, ahead Futaba): You do it with the available resources or you forget it and stop speaking about.

The particular problem with K seems to be (since 2012): You place virtual products in the stores to maintain customer loyalty by promises. This is not good. This is dishonest, just as is currently dealt with the BEC problems.

I have been following the threads on this closely, and have had the JLog working happily for a long time now.
My only point is that where Futaba previously claimed that the TelME unit would be available almost immediately - "by the end of next month" sort of thing, this is the first time that I am aware that they have claimed that it would take much longer. I was not trying to give people any further hope of getting one.
I gave up a long time ago, and the JLog has been working flawlessly for me since I got it.
