just did a couple night flights, this heli is very stable for its size. maybe its the v-bar but it flys alot like the big brother. it could use a 17t tooth pinion other than that its a great flying machine.

I was torn between Mini P and 450Pro and decidedd to w/ 450 pro. Main reason is the price. I just cant justify paying 415 for it. Also, I got a good deal on the 450 pro super combo at helidirect for 425. They were giving 15% off thruough today I think. Hope this works.

Now THAT is the kind of maiden report I like to hear!

Nice one Jason!

What flight times are you getting with your setup and flying?

Have you auto'd her yet?

I have tryed just about. Every 450 size . One of the best was the furion 450. But I think that the mini protos is going to rock. I get mine tomarrow oh ya.

To me what I will say is not a negative as well I don't auto 450s period. But even with the belt abit slack this is very likely going to be a 450 you will NOT be autoing persay, there is just a ton of drag. Again I don't care about it, as I don't care to auto 450s rather just fly them. But in comparison to a 450 Pro tail system it will turn maybe 1/10th as much and all energy is lost. No biggie but if there is a negative that is about it really in regards to flight. Over time we'll see how it unfolds. The stock setup is good for indoors, 85% on YGE is around 2800 rpm, 100% flat is around 2970 this is with 45C packs, so for indoor it is plenty.

im getting 4:00-4;30 on 3s 2200 35c stock motor/pinion 100% throttlecurve. I havent got a chance to ring it out yet due to being a noob to flybarless spending most of my time tweaking the v-bar. its getting close tho.

I under stand your point. But for me I wound gladly give up a bit of power instead of replacing a tt gear ever other flight, everytime you hit a blade of grass. It seems to me that the little heli has more than enough power on a 4s set up. Besides autoing a little heli is not very easy to do. I can not wait to see what Jason's tweeks do with different pinions.

There is something very wrong if you don't reach 3500+ at 100% throttle Shawn.

im not that good of a pilot to do this heli justice lol but so far the stock motor/pinion on 3s feels pretty good now for my skill level. but something tells me to try the 17t with the gov on.

heres a vid from today. still setting up the v-bar nothing fancy just sport 3d. you can see at the begining of the vid i start off at 90% throttle then switch to 100% towards the middle. stock motor/esc 16t pinion 3s 2200 35c

I'll confirm again as was only using a I Phone heli tach app, so I will confirm with skytach to make sure.
But if it is off persay..

need to look at a throttle calibration then, from what I understand with this YGE may need a YGE program card to do so, is this correct? I run a 8FG Futaba.

Thanks for the comments OICU812. I don't auto my 400 but I do like to switch off power at around 10 foot and land with TH on, do you think the Mini-P can do this? I would assume so. My field is far from flat so it saves the heli from loose debris on the ground.

The OG Protos autos well up against the 500s I have flown but I presume this is die to the extra inertia in the blades and the comparitively larger weight difference.

Jason you may me feel guilty pottering about! I will have to sell mine to Tariq!

Great vids and flying, love the noise of a hard worked OG Protos and it seems the Mini-P has an equally awesome noise. Good job man.
