Exclamation Devo 7 and other servos and esc. Please

I want to build a 450 size heli, I have the Devo 7 radio. I know I would need another walkera receiver but can I use different servos like the hxt900. and a different speed controller. The Gyro is in the receiver am I correct. Could I go with a brushes motor and esc? Any help would be appreciated

Hi Astrokc
You could have a look at the walkera 450do3 BTF (bind and fly) and use the devo 7
If you want to stick with the devo 7 you will have to use devention, never done that so not sure but there is a lot of no on on the web
Using devention will open your tx to other brands spectrum futarbu and so on
The 450do3 is not a bad heli flys well and plenty of parts
Saying that some guys are having problems with servos ,but in the 2 years I have had this bird I have only found 2 servos bad ??
There are a lot of heli's out there just depends on what your budget is and what you like
Have alook at the Gaui x3 lots of talk on the forum
Hope this helps
Cheers watho

If you want to build a 450-sized machine you will only need a 6 or 7ch RX from walkera then take your pick when it comes to the FBL device.

Align have supercombos, where all you need is a RX and batteries to get it flying. Based on your question I think you need help from either factory (combo) or experienced pilot to put a kit together...

I wouldn't use the servo you suggested in a 450, and you need to think about way more stuff putting a kit together... once you know you have gear that will work for the kit, building is fun and pretty straight forward...

Deviation is only supported in Devo 7E, not Devo 7 by the way!

If it is an E, upgrade and use DSMX/DSM2 (Spektrum)
