How could a gear help with tail kick? Nevermind , you suggested a gear to increase the tail speed.

You can easily adjust the tail kick away using collective torque compensation on that fancy V Control radio.

For the gov, adjust your collective add to 100 and maybe play with the differential. If HS drops in tic-tocks, increase the collective dynamic.

How much collective pitch do you run? How easily does it bog?

I'd like to see it auto. Video?

Not sure I can justify the cost of the gears so I'll see how far I can get with tuning.
Yes it is a fancy radio haha and I run 11-degrees of pitch. It loses 200rpm on full-pitch climbouts, I'm sure tuning should fix that but if it doesn't I'll try the 115T gear.
It autos great, but I'm not an advanced pilot so anything better than 700 blades makes a big difference. I can hit hold going in one direction in a circuit and still bring it around and land with a little time to spare.

I'll try your recommendations tomorrow and post back with my findings!

Ok had a decent fly today, 6 flights at 8mins each equals a whole bunch of airtime!!

My next step:
It bogs a little on full collective and big power-loops and manuevers that really load-up the head.
I tried increasing collective add in the vbar, didn't make a difference.
I tried increasing gain on the gov, didn't make a difference

Perhaps a combination of collective add and gain will fix it?
I'm still running reasonably rich so that's one other avenue?
I could get the 115T maingear.
I could try higher nitro %, currently on 20.

LOVE THIS HELI AS AN 800!!!

I think if your coll add is maxed out with no change, you may be maxed out on power. All of your suggestions sound like good ones, 30%, 115 gear, and lean it out some.

I've done all of the above and can still bog mine when I get in trouble and I'm only swinging 696s.

Yip, you're probably right that I'm at the limit.
In order I think I'll try:
Lean
115T
30%

I am running pretty rich at the moment, not getting very warm at all on the backplate, heeeeeeaaaps of smoke and residue all over the heli, had the engine start backwards a week ago too.

I'll post back with how I get on anyway!

Loving it. Bogs a little, but realised I'm unable to lean the motor so waiting on a new part so I get the power I deserve lol
Flys big-air great, a lot of fun to muck around in the sky. Autos forever. Still 8min flights easily.

Here is a pic of my E820 along side my friends N820 recently converted from electric. He's running a YS120 SRX and it's amazing! So good is it that I'm now going to convert mine to a N, engine ordered etc.

Personally main blade wise we've been getting on much better with the Align 780's, were using NHP 800's and going to 780's has transformed the helis.

Got my N820 in the air today, albeit only in the back garden, and I can tell it's going to be awesome. Got a YS120SRX in there so won't be lacking! Looking forward to a field visit now to try it out ?

Nice, looking good!
I had a glow problem on mine, turns out the pushglo wasn't lighting the plug enough. Replaced the connection and it starts after a second on the starter now.
Also had a problem with the 105hzr not leaning. Had the needle closed and it was still rich. Replaced needle holder with the part from a 91HZ after advice in the engines forum, and have opened 3 full turns (for safety) and will tune from there.

Anyone know where I may get a blank E820 canopy? Would love one on my G4.

Hi Mate,

I did yes, but after shipping and duty etc., it was going to potentially be over £100 :/ For that money, I'd rather buy a blank one and have Buckers do an entirely custom job. In fact, I'd rather not spend anything like that on a canopy really, so I'm probably going to forget the idea

I'm having some canopies done Harry I can see what a blank will cost putting in if you like. Can't see it been anything like that amount. Blank or painted?

It's really frightening what you chaps in the UK have to shell out for things in this hobby. I got a custom from MaskPro last week for my Compass 6HV Ultimate - first time scheme, and it was barely more than a stock one. Shipped from Thailand.

A custom Fusano canopy, not Insane quality but still bloody good, costs only a bit more than a stock one but yes you're right if you buy anything in the Uk it's expensive.

Here's my E700 and 820N Fusano canopys, also have the same on my G4, great colour quality......
