Default Servos , bls 451's ?

Just got my 700 last night

I have some servo's to juggle around to get things proper.

My logo 800 has a set of jr 8717's with about 250 flights @ 2s lipo.

I bought a set of 8917's on black friday.

My 600se is going to be sold - has a set of bls 451

Being the 8717's have been run in HV mode for 250 flights (700n + ~60 in logo 800) i'm starting to wonder if i should pull them out of the 800. Kyle is replacing there jr servo's at the 1200 flight mark but only at rated voltage. Couldn't offer any input on 8717 on 2s which i understand. I have a yardbird project i can fit these into.

So that leaves me with the new 8917's in the 800 , and i could swipe the bls451 out of the se. Of course i have a feeling that they might not be up to the task , and another set of 8917's are in my future .. lol

Flying aggressive 3d , with getting better cyclic management.

I can pull 3500 mah in 4.5 mins on the logo 800

Thanks

Martin

I would not hesitate to run bls451 in the L700 ive used them primary in many 700 sized

You can even push them upward with higher voltage too, they will survive that.

Wow.... Good to know!! I have been nursing my 451s along at 6V

Can a bls 251 also handle a 2s lipo?

You can buy a Spektrum or WR Titan to drop the tail and still run the cyclics at 7.4+

Shawn ..

What are you running for servos in your 700 ('s) ?

Any thoughts on the bls 451 on 8.4 ?

How has the tuning going ? Many changes from the stock XX software daefults ?

I am using MKS HV 950s myself.

BLS 451s yea I ran them as well at 7.4 volts -8.4 volts no issues on a 700E Align ways back no issues.

File, well just PM me with latest email and I can send you the one I did b4 the big snow dump.

I've got a Logo 700 on the way. I have a stash of servos I can use. I'd like some feedback on which is the best choice from those who use or have used them. It seems like the BLS451s are good for cyclic (and I have a set), but what about the rest?

Cyclic:
MKS HBL665
Futaba BLS255
Futaba BLS351
Futaba BLS451

Rudder:
MKS HBL980
Futaba BLS256
Futaba BLS251

I'm using the high voltage Futaba's in my Goblin 700. They seem to work well. I haven't used MKS servos before, but I thought I would give them a try. Any opinions on them are welcome. My other idea is to use the BLS351s (I've had them sitting around for a while) with the BLS256 tail. Thanks for the input!

Perfect regulators has a pro version that takes 11.1 down to 5 for 15 bucks, thats the way my buddy Ben uses his 9256 and his 451s on a 2s lipo,so guess i wont be dropping 165 on a hv tail servo,i already have a 251 as well.

Is there any track record for the bls 451 on 2s lipo ?

I know they have been out for a bit now. I have several flights on my 6003d with a set with 0 issues , but at 5.6volts off a jive

I also have a bls 251 for the tail on the heli i'm robbing stuff out of also.

Or how about the 14s 10a WR bec (older version that doesn't do 7.4 v) set to 6v regulated and run the works on 6v 451/251. Would the 451 on 6v be enough for the 700 ?

Martin
