1.3 Ghz system legal stuff.
I have purchased a downlink that is the 1.3 Ghz system from rangevideo. Is this an ok system to be using in the US. I have seen chatter about the 1.3 Ghz being illigal in the US? Is it? If so, I will need to change my order to 2.4 Ghz, but will this interfear with the Camera mount AskManAP E50 and the Controls on the Aircraft?

I checked the specifications of the RangeVideo 1.3 GHz transmitter and it actually transmits on 1280 MHz.
This is in the 23 cm amateur radio band and is available for anyone with any type of amateur radio license. So, yes it is completely legal in the U.S., but you'll need to spend a little time (and about $20) to get your "Technician Class" amateur radio license. (BTW, it's good for 10 years and is free to renew.) The best place to get licensing info would be the American Radio Relay League (ARRL). --Chris, KU7PDX Quick edit: Also, the 2.4 GHz transmitter that RangeVideo offers also requires at least a "Technician Class" amateur radio license, so either way you'll need to get licensed...
