Default DX8 carrying case recommendations

So I just picked up a new DX8 and wondering what you guys recommend for a carrying case? Something that has room for lipos too?

Thanks,
Ton

I have this one and highly recommend it, although I store my lipo's seperately in an ammo box.

What's the advantages of the stand up case vs the more traditional cases like the following:

JRPA720 JR Single Pro Transmitter Case

SPM6701 Spektrum Deluxe Transmitter Case

Venom Pro Radio Bag

The SPM6701 is too shallow. The radio does not fit all the way down in the foam. The antenna sits up above the slot it's supposed to fit down into. You would have to remove the handle on the DX8 to get it to fit down in the slot.

The JR version looks deeper, but there is no photo of the interior..

Not a fan of padded gig bags myself.

The Pelican cases are pretty popular also.

The JR case is nice and deep. Probably close to 3" more foam under the radio. You can't really see it in the pic, but there is a square cutout in the foam on either side of the antenna that can be removed. I've got my neck strap in there now, I'm sure you could fit maybe 3 packs for a 450 in this case. I attached a pic of mine so you can see the inside:

A buddy has the Venom case, it fits well but doesn't offer nearly as much protection as a true case would. Also, don't expect to get anything else in with the radio, it fits snug, a neck strap is about as much as you could get.

I really like that JR case, look like the transmitter fits in there perfectly. As with the other cases, they are just way too bulky for me.

Thanks for the input and pic 350Z_Al!

Quite spacious, lots of room for lipos etc. but overall too large.

That's why I picked it up...
Stand up vs. laying down, room for my transmitter, battery packs, Tx charger, neck strap, leveling tool, 3GX dongle, usb extension cable for my laptop, my 45oPro v2 canopy...etc

Why else spend more than $15 bucks and just toss your transmitter in a home made walmart plastic mini tub with a hand towel in the bottom
