Default Setting the idle

Hey guys, when setting the idle and high throttle for the gov I can't get my head around what seemed like a simple question.
When setting the idle position for a nitro, is this the low mark on the throttle barell, or the position when the engine will idle?
If I set throttle end points to 100-100 then the barell is perfect on the barell marks for low mid and high, but then I need to increase my 0 in the TX to say 13 to keep the motor running at low stick. Or should I set my end point for low throttle to say 86% which advances the throttle enough to idle the engine, and have my TX at low stick set at 0. Im just not sure if either method is correct or messing with how the gov functions. Hope this makes sense as its a bit hard to explain. Really hope someone can answer this. Chrs

Set your travel to 100-100 = full travel of the barrel. Then you can use either trim or your throttle curve low point to set idle position where the engine idles smoothly. Then set this point as your idle in the CGY gov. Set hi point for wide open.

Brilliant thanks for that. 100-100 travel and increased low stick in throttle curve is how I have always done it, but had been meaning to ask the question for ages:-) as I wasn't 100% sure it was correct.
I wondered if it was causing the issue I have getting the idle up figures to match in my tx and cgy, plus due to the increased low stick point in my tx at means the stick.sw figure (to activate gov) doesn't match the position of my stick.

I always use end points to get the barrel precisely on 100% and ~1.5-2mm from full closed to give a nice idle point.

Usually my end points are 85-100 or a couple of % either way.

Haha, so it looks like either way works just fine. Still it does make me wonder how Futaba intended to have people setting the idle point.
Thanks guys. Oh also, after playing around a bit, I got my tx and cgy to read the same headspeed.
