Talking Today's flight

Here is what I did today.

[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M666DOS0Rdg&feature=channel[/ame]

Had a great flight, working on elevator and aileron rainbows, and a tiny bit of nose in inverted. Every flight with this thing impresses me more and more. I'm only running 2800 HS in IU1 (calc, not tachd) but she responds with plenty of power.

Then I went and did this. :

[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WIp-mUGaSyg&feature=channel[/ame]

Well, all is well now. My main shaft collar loosened, but everything else checked out.

Goddammit.. I hate that. Sorry to see that happen to you mate.

My small helis I tend to spool up in idle up to avoid stuff like this... but I'll probably get a big one soon and I may have to change my habits....

It's funny because I see the posts about it here and I think to myself, who makes that mistake? Lol. Now I know it can happen to anyone. It wasn't a big deal. No damage done. The collar loosened, but I tightened that up and everything is good! Love this machine.

The bad news is rain is back in the forecast. Just when we're getting things going.

Th0rg0d, Mind sharing the final parts specs on your build? Maybe it belongs in the FBL Setups sticky, but I'm curious.

Thanks!

No problem. Powertrain is stock YGE and Scorpion motor. An AR7200BX controls Hitec HS65HB cyclic servos and a JR DS3500G tail servo. SAB 325 main blades and MSH yellow tail blades.

YGE is setup with stock parameters with GensAce 3s 2200s. I run a calculated HS of 2600, 2800, and 3200.

AR7200BX is configured in Sport, all pots left stock.

I'm cautious about to much fiddling, as I think she flies so well. I'm mostly a sport flyer, so I really just need her to track smoothly. Let me know if you want more info.

Got in 3 packs today. Put her back in stock dress just to change things up a bit.

How is the DS3500g working out? I am thinking about building a second and using a DS3500g.

Default I did it!

It has been working very well. The Mini has been on the bench for a long time though. I've not been too enthusiastic in the rebuild.
