The problem is the people that should have access can’t get it so they have moved to an open forum.
I disagree. As previously mentioned, I didn't have any problems getting my access to the FFC. I followed the instructions and received my ID/PW shortly thereafter.

The fact of the matter is that the only thing exclusive about the FFC is that it's only for Futaba 14/12 owners who purchased from the Hobbico/Great Planes. There is no secret.

You may have not had a problem but I did and so did a lot of other people. I too filled out the form that came with my radio, made a copy for my records and sent it to the address on the form (not too tough). About 6-8 months later I start sending emails to no avail. So I call and I am told to send the form in again, so I make another copy and put it in the mail. Three, four months go by and I decide to call again to see if they have received it, never heard of me nor have they seen my application. I am told it must have gotten lost in the mail, please send it again. Well the USPS can screw up now and then but come on! So I make one more copy and send it to God knows where because two years have gone by now and nothing, nota!
I have had enough and decided it wasn’t worth it but posted my efforts here on HF. I believe it was davidh that mentioned that this had been a problem with others and I should contact Bill Baxter via email.
I ended sending a scanned copy via email to Bill and two weeks later I get an email with my information to the FFC.
So any idiot can fill out the form and stick a stamp to it, you just got lucky!

Then why do you have to go through the BS to get the membership? Why not just an online registration like any other forum? Oh, and you can find a least three other sites to download the updates from.

It seems that Esprit Model has it in stock... but I'm not buying this stuff until Futaba releases the software for it:

http://www.espritmodel.com/index.asp...OD&ProdID=5947

I mean... they found a firmware problem in the JR 9303 2.4 Ghz... and if Futaba's TM-14 was released in a rush as it seems.. well.. you know...

You need to make sure that the 2.4 ghz module will work in your radio if your outside of North America and don't have a region code for NA.I am reading on some of forums where owners outside the USA have purchased the TM 14 2.4 module. And now they are finding out it will not work with there transmitter that has a different region code. Just a thought, but I have read a couple reports on it.

Again, just relating my experience. My friend who got is radio shortly after they came out didn't have a problem either.

You'll have to contact Futaba USA for an answer as to why the site isn't publicly available.

Thumbs down

I really didn't like the FCC.
I mean.. I'm from Brazil and bought my radio in the US during a business trip.
When I came back down here I tried to register in FCC and I could not because I'm not from the US.
I think that's horrible... just because I don't live in America I'm not supposed to get information about something I paid for?
Really sad.

Yes, the rest of the world are 2nd class citizens to the US of A when it comes to paying full price for a product made in Taiwan designed in Japan and sold to the rest of the world.
