Lightbulb LED light strips in lengths that make sense

Found some SMD LED strips in lengths of 2, 6, 12, 35 inches, and 5 meters. Sold under the common sense rc brand. All optimized for 3s input. If these are anything like HKs led strings, 3s may be too bright, and 2s can be used.

Finally, led strips in lengths shorter than 1m. I've seen similar stuff on hobbypartz.com but they have been out of stock for weeks.

Available colors: red, green, blue, white, warm white, pink, yes pink, and yellow. I bumped into these on www.amainhobbies.com, They are also available at www.commonsenserc.com.

I also saw a prewired 3 way splitter for multiple strings.

If anyone gets these in yellow, let us know if its actually yellow this time and not orange (HK yellow).

Enjoy.

FYI:

HK LED strips = CommonSenseRC LED strips = BP Hobbies LED strips.

BTW, you do realize you can cut the strips, right? CommonSense is majorly price gouging you on the shorter strips. You are much better off buying the longer ones and cutting them.

Also, I prefer not to have a lot of connectors in the light setup, I just solder from the tabs on the strips.

Ok, so the prices are a little high. But waiting 9 to 25 days for a slow boat from china might not suit. And those prices are right in line with almost any other US vendor. Plus HK doesnt carry purple, pink or warm white.

Have you seen what xerogear charges for a few 1m led strips??

Now thats gouging.

Hobbypartz.com has some decent prices on this stuff, but they are still out of stock, I just checked.

Think I'll order a purple string or two.

Not to mention soldering those copper strips is a PITA, ya gotta get the coating off (isopropyl alcohol I think) then you gotta use flux, I dont have any flux.

I buy all my led strips from oznium.com.They are a little expensive but they are based out of CO and I always get my order within 2 days. They are very good quality strips. You can cut most of the strips every 3 leds.

Yes, it's well known Xerogear jacks up the price like crazy for LEDs, a couple zipties, and a couple more LEDs ...

Also I get all my LEDs from my work (LHS), they carry all the BP Hobbies stuff which includes the LED strips.

Uhh, not really. I believe the coating is actually flux, I simply solder right on and it takes less than 10-15sec to do two wires. I've never used flux and never had a soldered connection that I've done come apart on me.

Waaay easier to click my mouse a few times than trim, solder, flux, whatever. I just too lazy. lolz.

Plus its good for the economy.

I gotta check out oznium.com a little more. My landing light (see my avatar) has too broad a beam. Still shopping for something that makes a nice compact spot short of a laser beam of course.

Well, the Xerogear landing pod lights are pretty compact. Maybe a tad on the pricey side, but if you only need 1 or 2, then they work very well. 4 lights in a diamond pattern, plus they have the chrome case to make it look dressed up.
