Default HK2221-6 bearings

I know this was brought up before but figure I would ask again. I finally got around to buying some new bearings and shaft kit for my Scorpion HK2221-6 v1 motor on my E4, old ones getting a little sloppy. So today I pressed out the old ones only to find both bearings in my old V1 are the same size. The new kit I got has one bearing the right size and the other is much bigger. I assume the new V2 motor must have a better bearing configuration compared to my old version. Now my question is do I just buy some Boca or something equivalent bearings to replace mine or should I upgrade to a V2 motor with the bigger bearing set? Thanks for any help, here is a pic that shows the bearings, old and new.

Thanks for the reply. The motor looks great inside, if I do go with new bearings, I may install the new shaft kit I have while I am at it. I haven't removed the shaft yet to check for straightness or wear and of course my display was blinking on my calipers telling me the batteries where low when I got them out so I'll continue tomorrow...lol. I may splurge and throw some ceramics in it but I've heard both ways on them though. Thanks again.

I finally ordered a couple of these for my motor, probably overkill for no more than I will be flying it but I won't have to worry about them going bad soon, I hope. I went with the NB2 greased filled ones hoping they will go a long time maintenance free. Got the new shaft pressed in today so now I just need to wait for the bearings to get here. Hopefully I don't muck up the new bearings putting them in....lol, should go ok though as long as I take my time doing it.

Yep... Just take your time... With the new shaft and new bearings you should be set with that motor for a good while!

It seems that aftermarket QUALITY bearings last longer than what comes stock.
