Default What did you do with your Mini Protos today?

The what did you do with your _____..... threads are my favorite posts to read in the Protos500 and Blade 450 threads, so I figured I would start one here too.

I'll start:
I got two more test flights in on my Mini Protos this morning to get the tail dialed in.. It was having quite a bit of wag. Ended up having to go into my ZYX FBL controller and turning it down there. Most of the wag as gone.. might have to go a bit lower. Heading to the field after work to do some more tweaking.

Had around 28 flights. Bit of tweaking of gyro gain & tail dynamic.

Flew 8 packs today. Man it was a beautiful day. I got sunburned despite putting on sunscreen. I also had to convince her that she won't be relegated to the wall when her big sister, Prôtos 700, comes in.

I had 6 flights on mine today after sorting some teething issues.

The first 2 flights tuned the vbar and the last 4 I had it dialed and enjoyed what it had to offer in it's stock 3s format. I will be keeping I that way for now but the stretch and 6s is very tempting.

It is flying very well and I really enjoyed the way it flew, very predictable which is unlike most 450's I have flown.

Can't wait to fruit tomorrow.

Predictable is a great way to describe the mini - it shocked me how well it flew - even on the 3s stock configuration.

I have my 6s FBL setup lightening fast and still very predictable.

Hello,

today it was raining for the whole day.

So I finished my TDR style landing gear for the MiniProtos and I am very happy with it.

I went though two batteries this morning getting my tail dialed in on my ZYX fbl unit. Other than that, it was way too windy to get any meaningful flying in on a 450 sized heli.

Hello,

thats funny, me too. But a few 1000miles away in Germany.
Today I went out with 2 Lops. But it was so windy that I had to refuse...

Yes the landing gear is self made... unfortunalty. I would prefer to buy one, because it takes about 10 hours to make it...

Flew the (6S / 350mm) Mini Protos twice today in winds of 25mph gusting to 34mph. I'm simply amazed by how well it handles those conditions. Heck, I had it inverted 2ft off the runway without stressing at all. Simply amazing.

IIA: involuntary inverted autorotation from about 3m (forgot to IU). Put it pack on skids and completed the pack.
