Settings for a 500 goblin?
I just got this gyro GT5.1
I am using align 515 servos and a 655 tail. The radio is a Futaba 8FG s-bus. I got the servos all working the right direction as well as the gyro. It's the other numbers and settings that I don't know about.

Thanks! I understand most of the setting I just wondered if someone had already got close to the sweet spot. So I have nothing unexpected when taking off for the first time. I have set up Tarot zyx, Beastx, Vbar, and Helicommand.
Between then and now Gary W. with Thundertiger sent me the best first settings. So I will go from there. Again thank for replying!

Perhaps you'll share your locked in settings for the G500 once there, would be the next logical purchase for me...
I've found that with most stock settings the GT5 flies well and can be tuned to the max after to fly as good as any locked in FBL unit. It inspires confidence, do love these. Just got my first V-bar and I'll see how that holds up |

Just set neg/pos pitch, cyclic pitch, rudder limit and tail and cyclic gains to 70 with p gains 60. Turn expo off in the gyro and add some in your TX to taste. Set rudder endpoints in TX to speed your tail up like you like. You'll be amazed at how well the thing flies.
The GT's really do like the ball out farther on the rudder arm moreso than other gyros. I had a bad tail blowing issue, and moving the rudder ball out one hole solved the issue. I had to get rid of the round servo wheel and use a strait arm to get out a little farther. I never had seen any tail wag whatsoever with any of my GT gyros but changed the tail piece and put a new belt, bearings and tail shaft on and could not get rid of tail wag no matter what I did to save my life. The answer was to turn Tail D-Sense to 0. I think every thing to do with cyclic and tail gains in the 5.2 software have a new name now like stability and consistency instead of P and I gains.

By the way it turned out one of my biggest problems starting out was a bad tail servo. Ended up that was the reason I got the GT 5.1, I thought my old FBL was bad because the 655 only had 30 to 40 flights on it and never crashed. That was one of the first things Gary found. Never had a brand name servo quit that soon
